Dear Valued Families and Clients,
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the heart behind Yellow Brick Road Support Services. As the founder of YBR, I want to share a little about the mission that guides our work and the deep personal commitment I bring to this field.
With more than 10 years of experience in the disability sector, I’ve had the privilege of supporting incredible individuals, families, and professionals who have shaped not only my practice, but also my purpose. What began as a passion to help others has grown into a lifelong dedication to creating a world where people with disabilities feel empowered, understood, and supported to live their fullest lives.
My perspective in this work is uniquely shaped by the many hats I wear — as a mother to a child with special needs, a support worker, a therapist, and an educator. I understand firsthand what it feels like to navigate systems, to advocate for your child, to want the very best support, and to hope for services that treat your loved one with dignity, respect, and genuine care. This lived experience allows me to see support from all angles and gives me the insight needed to guide our team in providing thoughtful, compassionate, and truly holistic care.
At Yellow Brick Road Support Services, our focus is simple: to make life easier, brighter, and more meaningful for the people we support. I firmly believe that every person deserves the opportunity to be treated with kindness, to be respected for who they are, and to have fun along the way. That’s why we create personalised, creative, and family-centred support plans that go beyond daily tasks and encourage new experiences, confidence, and independence.
